Astronaut Buzz Aldrin Creates Rap Single With Snoop’s Help

Astronaut Buzz Aldrin, well-known as the second man to ever step foot on the moon, is expanding his repertoire, adding rap music.

The 79-year-old recently shot a music video for his single "Rocket Experience", as well as a behind the scenes of the making of the track with Snoop Dogg, Soulja Boy, and Quincy Jones.

"I'm not too good at carrying a tune, but I do have rhythm," Aldrin told USA Today of the song. His ShareSpace Foundation, which promotes science and exploration, is one of three beneficiaries of the song's iTunes sales.

"I want kids interested in space. It's their future."

Snoop on Warren G's latest single 'Swagga Rich'

West coast rapper Warren G is close to finishing his much-anticipated sixth studio outing, The G Files.

The G Files, Warren's first album in four years, will feature appearances from Nate Dogg, Bishop Lamont, Ice Cube, Paul Wall, and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. The first official single is due to be released soon, called 'Swagga Rich' featuring Snoop Dogg.

Snoop Dogg Being Immortalized in Wax

Snoop is set to become the first living rapper to be immortalized for Madame Tussauds famous wax museum.

"Fa shizzle dizzle I said yes when asked," the rapper tells PEOPLE. "I'm honored! The D O double G got a double."

The rapper-turned-reality star of Snoop Dogg's Father Hood and MTV's Dogg After Dark will have his figure unveiled Monday, April 20 at Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas. The figure will stand in the "On Stage" area.

Snoop Dogg will be the third rap icon on display at one of the famous museums. A shirtless and tattooed Tupac Shakur wax figure resides in Vegas, while Biggie Smalls's figure is in New York. Both rappers received the honor after they died.

As for Snoop, whose $300,000 statue will sport his trademark braided cornrows, "He was on high demand at our museums" says Roxanne Holland of Madame Tussauds. "When we asked guests who they wanted to see next, Snoop was at the top of the list."

Snoop Dogg joins Nation of Islam

Snoop Dogg has revealed he has joined the Nation of Islam after appearing at the religious group's annual Saviours' Day event in Chicago.

The rapper, who described himself as the "leader of the hip-hop community", told followers he would share what he learned with other musicians.

He told reporters that he joined the group because he was "doing what's right and representing what's right".

It preaches self-reliance for black people within an Islamic framework.

Snoop to host MTV show "Dogg After Dark"

Snoop is back on MTV to host a variety talkshow in a deal that will also serve as a launch pad for Snoop's new album and video game tracks.

"Dogg After Dark" (7x60') will launch on February 17 at 21.00, with Snoop Dogg's celebrity interviews interspersed with comedy skits and musical performances from hot new artists, as well as from in-house band the Snoopadelics. (Sounds very similar to the old Doggy Fizzle Televizzle!)

Snoop Leaves Geffen/Interscope

The split comes nearly one year after the release of Snoop's ninth studio album, Ego Trippin'.

Lead by the crossover, 80s inspired ballad "Sexual Eruption," the LP debuted at #3 on Billboard's Top 200, but fell short of gold certification.

While the West Coast veteran declined to give specific details on the reason for the sudden split, Snoop verified there will not be any final albums with Interscope.

"We are pushing the envelope on getting everything finalized," Snoop told AllHipHop.com exclusively. "But I will not be releasing anymore projects under Interscope/Geffen."

Snoop Dogg will host his "All-Star Weekend Blowout" on Saturday, Feb. 14, from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Barcelona Nightclub (15440 N Greenway Hayden Loop Scottsdale). The guest list includes Terrell Suggs, Vernon Davis, Ovie Mughelli and Isaac Keys from the NFL. A "Sensual Seduction Lingerie Fashion Show" will be "hosted by 20 of the most beautiful models in America," a press release states

Snoop shores support to get back in the UK

"I love London and Im desperate to come back. Ive called David Beckham, Sir Paul McCartney, hell, I want to get the whole of the Beatles to help me get back in" the Mirror quoted him as saying.


The rapper, who made friends with Beckham after he moved to the United States to play for LA Galaxy, said that he wanted the former England captain to take up his matter with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

He added: "Im trying to get through to Madonna as well. Id love them all to write to the Prime Minister to change his mind."

Snoop Dogg To Launch His Own Line Of Headphones

Snoop Dogg is to launch his own line of headphones, as he branches out into audio hardware.

The new product follows in the footsteps of producer Dr. Dre, who last year dropped his own set of headphones 'Beats by Dre' in conjunction with Monster Cable.

Dogg's phones will be created by Skullcandy and the product aims to be an "extreme bass amplified headphone".

Snoop Dogg puts garden shed up for grabs on eBay

Snoop Dogg has put his garden shed on the eBay auction block to raise funds for charity.

E! Online has learnt that the rap superstar is selling the treasured outbuilding, where he has written many hit songs, on auction website eBay, with the proceeds going to Snoop’s Youth Football League.

He said: “I’ve had this shed since the turn of the century. I’ve beaten over 1,000 people in Madden in it, watched football game tapes, seen the Lakers win championships, and, most of all, written hits in it.”

The shed is personally signed by the man himself for the winning bidder, for whom he has this message: “Enjoy it. And let the legend live on, ya dig?!” (ANI)

Snoop's Dogg House Up for Grabs on eBay

The hip-hop star is putting his favorite old backyard haunt—where he's done some serious woodshedding over the years to craft some of his biggest hits and hang out with some of music's brightest luminaries—on the eBay auction block to raise funds for Snoop's Youth Football League. 

"I've had this shed since tha turn of tha century," Snoop tells E! News. "I've beaten over 1,000 people in Madden in it, watched football game tape, seen the Lakers win championships, and, most of all, written hits in it."

Fans of Snoop—and interested bidders—can witness the Dogg House being craned out of Snoop's backyard to make way for a new shed during this Sunday's Snoop Dogg's Father Hood at 10:30 p.m.

Snoop Dogg Works With Massive Attac

Snoop Dogg has made a track with legendary UK dance outfit Massive Attack- for the soundtrack to a new documentary.

Under the name 100 Suns the group have produced a song called Calling Mumia which pays tribute to prisoner Mumia Abu Jamal.

It features on the film In Prison My Whole Life and features some of Snoop’s most intelligent lyrics ever over a brooding Bristollian beat.

He raps: “The way I live now is to educate and elevate the kids/ and give them more than weed and bottles of beer.”

Tha Dogg adds: “I got a lot to say/ cos aint no fun when you’re locked away.”

According to a press release, the Rich & Infamous streetwear line is geared toward men between the ages 18 and 35, and will later expand into accessories, grooming and home products as well.

Snoop allowed back in Australia

After an initial Visa refusal to enter Australia, Snoop has this time been granted access to enter Australia for the Oceania leg of his Ego Trippin' Tour.

"A visa will be granted to enable a 17-day visit from October 21," a department spokesman said.

"His application has been approved on character grounds."
